At the colourful opening of Gitex 2007 the Polish Ambassador to the UAE, Mr. Roman ChaĆaczkiewicz, and the Commercial Counsellor of the Polish Embassy, Dr. Tomasz Wysocki, inaugurated the opening of the GOODRAM Middle East booth within the consumer electronics section of the show as well as welcoming the company to the UAE.
GOODRAM Middle East is a joint venture between Polish memory manufacturer, Wilk Elektronik SA and a Middle Eastern based IT firm. The new company is a culmination of 15-years of memory manufacturing in Europe and 12-years of Middle East IT market experience.
Ambassador ChaĆaczkiewicz highlighted, “The capacities and structures of both Poland and the UAE economies allow development of bilateral trade relations to a much greater extent than in the past. This especially applies to hi-tech sectors such as electronics and IT”.
“In a period when the market is looking for high quality memory solutions, such as DRAM, USB and Flash cards at competitive prices, the GOODRAM brand offers a product range that complies with European testing standards at a price that competes with Far Eastern prices”, said Mr. Wieslaw Wilk, CEO of Wilk Elektronik SA. “With over 30% market share in our region, the Middle East region provides us with a new challenge at a very exciting time in the market. Gitex is the ideal platform and the ideal time to launch, we look forward to continued participation as we grow”, added Wilk.
